Intelligence on the Internet

The technology is here to make our lives easier, and we can find it literally everywhere in our society. Most people today has a smartphone, and most households have at least one computer. People who are born today will never know how life was like before the internet. And while these tools have many benefits, aren't they making us dumber?
People are becoming highly dependable on technology, to the point they are forgetting how to do stuff without it. Kids in school no longer read books, they simply make a search on Google to save time, and then go play their videogames. There`s nothing wrong with searching the web, but a lot of students don`t even read what they searched for, they just copy and paste it on their homework, and now we have AI bots, such as ChatGPT, that can do all the work for them. As a result, there are fewer students who actually learning, and laziness has become a new norm. This is also truth for adults, who grew accustomed to have all the answers in their fingertips, so they never look for the answers themselves. It seems that in today's society thinking is optional.
So what can we do to improve this scenario? First of all, we must put a limit on how much time our kids spend with technology, so they can learn how to do things without it. But we mustn't forget that while the internet can make people dumber, if used correctly it can also be used as a powerful learning tool, as there are many informative websites, articles and videos, that can actually help us in our studies. So the internet is not the enemy, it's only a matter of not using it too much, and using it the right way.
