Love and Sex
Love is the most wonderful feeling in the world, and people simply can't stop taking about, specially in songs and movies. But what is love anyway?
Like every other emotion, love serves a biological purpose, and its purpose is to get us to reproduce. Yes, that's all there is to it, that's literally the only reason love exists, to motivate us to make more babies. Love is the first step towards sexual intercourse, without sex, love wouldn't even exist.
For that reason, it bothers me that most people talk about love and sex as being two different, when they are actually two parts of the same thing: love is the feeling and sex is the consequence, the final goal. Everytime someone is doing something romantic is because deep inside they want to get into the other person's pants.
There's nothing wrong with it. One mistake people make is to see sex in a bad way. When people finally understand that there's nothing unethical about having sex with people we are attracted to, that will be a big step forward in our society. Sex only is wrong when there's no consent.
But what about sex without love? Well, it's not wrong either. Usually people fall in love and then have sex, but the contrary is also possible, sometimes people have casual sex and only then fall in love with one another, and if they don't, that's ok.
Another mistake is to think that love is always right, in some cases it can be wrong. For example, if you love someone who doesn't care about you or vice versa. In situations like this, love is bad for us, and therefore it's more wrong than right.
So in short, love and sex wouldn't exist without each other, so we should handle both with the same importance.
