Climate Change

Earth is a beautiful place, but it was even more beautiful before humans fucked up. It's not entirely our fault though, because for the most part we didn't know we were messing up the planet, the problem is that once we realised what we were doing, we kept doing the same things nonetheless. For that reason we are beginning to see strange behaviours in nature, most notably in the weather.
Throughout human history, earth has never been as hot as it is today, and now every year is hotter than the last, breaking new temperature records. The highest global average temperature ever recorded was in 22 July 2024, only six months ago. It's well known that the main cause of climate change is the burning of fossil fuels, as they represent about 75% of all greenhouse gas emissions, so to solve the problem we can just stop using fossil fuels, right? Well it's not that simple...
To stop using fossil fuels, we need to stop using cars as means of transportation, stop manufacturing products in our factories, and stop generating electricity for our cities. In other words, to stop climate change we would have to go live in the woods, and dispose of every technological development of the last centuries. But I doubt everyone would just agree to go back to the caves at this point in our history, so we have to find another alternative.
This is a strange case in which the solution lies on the problem, climate change was caused by early human technological development, such as the industrialisation, and it can be reversed by contemporary technologies, that no longer require the use of fossil fuels. If we stop the greenhouse gas emissions, the planet would slowly fix itself. But there's another obstacle to this solution, the access to these new technologies is still very difficult.
For example, if we already have electric cars, then why most cars on the street are still fuelled by gas? The reason is the price, electric cars are usually more expensive than regular cars, and there's also the fact that used cars are much cheaper than new ones. There won't be a mass use of these new environment-friendly technologies until they become more accessible to everyone, so we won't be able to solve the environmental problems if we don't solve our economical problems first.
